Texas Republic's New High-Speed Transportation System
Unable to come up with sufficient funds to fight the drug war that is spilling over the Mexican border into Texas, Obama says he is finally willing to take Texas Governor Rick Perry up on his threat to secede from the union.
Said Obama, "We've contacted Governor Rick Perry today and advised we are ok with his going ahead with secession proceedings. We've assured him we'll put his request on a fast track and if all goes well, Texas will be a sovereign republic by noon on Monday."
Perry is said to be mulling the idea over but has asked Obama if it's too late to get some of that stimulus money he refused back in 2009 to help fund the new republic's start-up costs.
