Cantabrians by a rate of two to one have voted Yes on a referendum;
Should all CCTV cameras be banned in Canterbury?
As from September 1 2014 all cameras will be deactivated and eventually removed.
Fines will be increased for convictions,
more police will be patrolling public places,
traditional rights will be restored
and privacy will be respected.
This is a first in the first world.
